About Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina
Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina, Inc. (PCSC) is a non-profit organization established in 1958 by the Synod of South Carolina of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Its mission is to serve seniors by providing quality continuing care retirement communities, home healthcare services, and affordable housing. Headquartered in Lexington, South Carolina, PCSC operates eight communities across the state offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing care, and rehabilitation services. It also provides home healthcare services in the Midlands and Upstate regions of South Carolina. PCSC is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and is a member of LeadingAge South Carolina, a state association of non-profit providers of retirement communities and long-term care. In addition to its core services, PCSC also operates the Presbyterian Communities Foundation, a charitable arm that raises funds to provide assistance to residents and employees in need. The foundation also supports spiritual wellness programs and capital projects within the communities. PCSC is governed by a board of directors consisting of members of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and community leaders.
