The National Head Start Association (NHSA) is an American non-profit organization that advocates for and supports early childhood education. The organization was established in 1974 and represents over 1 million children, families, and staff who are part of the Head Start and Early Head Start programs across the United States. NHSA works to promote high-quality early childhood education for children living in poverty or facing other barriers to educational success.
