How it works

Automated verification

Select Truv as the Exchange Verification provider within Empower. Choose between initial VOIE or VOE-only re-verification.

Borrower connects payroll

The borrower connects their payroll account through Truv Bridge — selecting their employer, authenticating, and securely connecting.

Real-time document retrieval

Truv automatically pulls paystubs and W-2s and generates VOI/VOE reports, available in real-time in the Empower® Document Repository.

Loan process continues in Empower

The entire verification process, from application to closing, completes within the Empower platform.

Enabling the Integration

  1. Contact your Empower® account representative to enable Truv integration in your Empower instance.
  2. White-label the borrower experience via the Truv Dashboard under Customization → Templates.
  3. Configure your Party ID in the Truv Dashboard:
    • Obtain your Party ID from Empower®
    • Log into the Truv Dashboard
    • Navigate to Platform Keys
    • Select the DMT Empower® integration
    • Enter your Party ID and save

Order Verifications

  1. Go to Exchange Verifications in the loan file and click Begin a New Order (Service Request)
  2. Select Truv as the verification provider
  3. Choose the verification product: VOE/VOI for origination, or VOE only for re-verification (10-day PCV)
  4. Enter the borrower’s full name, email, and phone number, along with loan officer details
  5. Click Validate Submission Data, then Submit Request
  6. The borrower receives an SMS and email to connect their payroll account through Truv

Retrieve Reports and Documents

Once the order is complete, navigate to the Document Repository in Empower to view:
  • VOI/VOE reports
  • W-2s
  • Paystubs
All documents are available directly within the Empower platform — no system switching required.

Day 1 Certainty® and AIM

Truv’s reports support Fannie Mae Day 1 Certainty® via DU® and Freddie Mac AIM.
  1. Contact your Empower® account representative to enable Day 1 Certainty® and AIM in your Empower instance
  2. Ensure the integration uses Truv with Fannie Mae’s DU Validation Service and Freddie Mac’s AIM, and update the Verification Providers Display Value to Truv
  3. After completing verification, the Truv report includes a Reference ID for submission to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, which auto-populates in the appropriate Empower fields
