Union Settlement is a nonprofit organization located in New York City, with the mission of providing education, wellness, and community-building programs to underserved communities in East Harlem. The organization was established in 1895 by members of the Union Theological Seminary who sought to address the social issues affecting the local community. Union Settlement offers a wide range of programs and services for children, youth, adults, and seniors. These include early childhood education and after-school programs for children, college prep and career readiness services for youth, job training and placement programs for adults, and a variety of health and wellness programs for seniors.
