Old Dominion University (ODU) is a public research university located in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. It was established in 1930 as the Norfolk Division of the College of William & Mary, and became an independent institution in 1962. Today, the university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including over 120 majors, concentrations, and specializations across 9 colleges. ODU's campus covers over 251 acres and features over 40 buildings, including state-of-the-art academic and research facilities, as well as a variety of residence halls, dining options, and recreational spaces.
