Yuba City Unified School District (YCUSD) is a public school district located in Yuba City, California. YCUSD serves more than 13,000 students from kindergarten to twelfth grade in 17 elementary, five middle, and four high schools, as well as alternative programs providing special education services. The district includes schools in the cities of Yuba City and Live Oak, and the outlying communities of Tierra Buena, Sutter, and Robbins. YCUSD is governed by a seven-member board of trustees and employs over 1,500 staff members. The district’s mission is to ensure that every student receives a quality education that prepares them for success in college, career, and life. To accomplish this, YCUSD offers a variety of programs and services, including Advanced Placement courses, career and technical education, English language development, and gifted and talented education. Additionally, YCUSD has implemented a variety of initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes, including professional development for teachers, technology integration, and parent engagement programs.
