Okemo Mountain Resort is a ski resort located in Ludlow, Vermont, operating since 1956. The resort encompasses 632 acres of skiable terrain across five distinct mountain areas, featuring 121 trails and 20 lifts. Known for its extensive snowmaking capabilities, Okemo consistently ranks among the top eastern United States ski resorts for snow quality and grooming. The resort was originally developed by John and Diane Mueller, who purchased it in 1982 and significantly expanded its operations. In 2018, Vail Resorts acquired Okemo as part of a multi-resort transaction. The acquisition integrated Okemo into Vail’s Epic Pass program, providing access to multiple ski destinations across North America. Beyond winter activities, Okemo operates as a four-season destination. The resort features an 18-hole championship golf course, mountain biking trails, and a Adventure Zone including a mountain coaster, zipline tours, and other summer attractions. The property includes multiple lodging options, ranging from slope-side condominiums to hotel accommodations. The resort’s vertical drop is 2,200 feet, with a summit elevation of 3,344 feet.
