About Nevada Power
Nevada Power was an electric utility company that served southern Nevada, primarily the Las Vegas Valley area. Founded in 1906, it operated as a major electricity provider until 1999, when it merged with Sierra Pacific Power Company to form NV Energy. During its operational years, Nevada Power was instrumental in supporting the rapid growth and development of Las Vegas and its surrounding communities.
