Throughout its history, LOUD Technologies made several strategic acquisitions to expand its product portfolio and market presence, including the purchase of Ampeg (1999) and Martin Audio (2007). In 2018, LOUD Technologies underwent a significant transformation when it was acquired by Transom Capital Group. Following this acquisition, the company was renamed to LOUD Audio, LLC. Subsequently, several of its brands were sold to different companies, with Mackie and Ampeg being acquired by Yamaha Corporation in 2018, while Martin Audio was sold to Focusrite plc in 2019.
