King County Library System is a public library system serving the residents of King County, Washington, USA with 50 libraries across the county. The library system was founded in 1942 and has grown to become one of the busiest library systems in the country, annually circulating more than 10 million items. Its mission is to provide access to materials and services that narrow the gap between the rich and poor, provide a sense of community, and enhance the educational, economic and cultural opportunities of King County residents.
