About I Car

I-Car is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that automotive technicians have the knowledge and skills necessary to repair vehicles correctly and safely. Founded in 1979, I-Car has trained over 200,000 technicians and collision repair professionals in North America. I-Car offers a range of training courses and certifications, covering topics such as welding, painting, diagnostic scanning, and mechanical systems. Its board of directors is made up of representatives from major automotive manufacturers, insurance companies, and other organizations. The organization is headquartered in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, with additional offices in Canada and Australia.
