About Graham Windham
Graham Windham is a non-profit organization based in New York City that provides child welfare and family support services. It was founded in 1806 as the first private orphanage in New York City by Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, the widow of founding father Alexander Hamilton, and her friend Eliza Knox. The organization has since expanded its services to include foster care, adoption, youth development, and supportive housing for young adults. Graham Windham operates several residential facilities for children, including its flagship campus in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, and community-based programs in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx.
