Denton County Electric Cooperative (DCEC) is a non-profit electric utility company serving members in ten counties across north Texas, USA. Founded in 1937, DCEC has its headquarters in Corinth, Texas. The cooperative is owned by its members, who elect a board of directors to oversee operations and decision-making. DCEC provides electricity to over 37,000 meters and maintains more than 2,000 miles of distribution lines.
