Delaware State University (DSU) is a public, historically black university located in Dover, Delaware. Founded in 1891 as the State College for Colored Students, it is now a comprehensive university offering undergraduate and graduate education in a variety of fields. DSU offers over 60 undergraduate programs and six graduate programs across its four colleges: the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, the College of Education, Health and Public Policy, the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, and the College of Business. The university is also home to the only aviation program in the state and offers a variety of programs in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). DSU prides itself on its commitment to student success, particularly among underrepresented minorities. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and holds specialized accreditations for various programs.
