Butler Community College (BCC) is a public community college located in El Dorado, Kansas, United States. BCC was founded in 1927 and initially offered only two-year courses in agriculture, home economics, and basic arts and sciences. Today, the college offers more than 90 degree and certificate programs in fields such as business, education, health sciences, technology, and engineering. Butler Community College serves approximately 8,000 students each year, both on campus and through online courses. The college has six campus locations across south central Kansas, including El Dorado, Andover, Council Grove, Marion, McConnell Air Force Base, and the Rose Hill Learning Center. BCC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and maintains partnerships with several four-year universities, allowing students to easily transfer credits and continue their education. In addition to its academic programs, BCC has a strong athletic program with 11 men’s and women’s sports teams competing in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
